Large Scale Town Estate Water Pump Monitoring Project |
|
TMASTM TMN-5000s are deployed at 500 scattered and unmanned HDB public housing flats in Singapore. It is used for monitoring the dry contact signals from the pump controllers for e.g. power failure, pump trip, overflow, low water level. Upon any fault occurrence, TMN-5000 will send out predefined SMS message to alert the pump contractors, the property officers as well as the town estate Central Monitoring Station (CMS).
It is also used to secure the restricted pump site with its access control capabilities. Only authorized users are able to use their mobile phones to send “Door:on” SMS commands to the TMN-5000 to open the EM lock. When the door is opened, the user can enter the pump room, close the door within 30 seconds to avoid any false intruder alarm. He can then press “Job Switch” button to record start time of site visit. After servicing or investigation task is completed, the user can press “Exit” Button to record the end time of site visit and open the door. He must also remember to close the door back to avoid any false intruder SMS alarm triggered.
This solution also includes a powerful backend platform, i.e. TMASTM web based server at the CMS side to enable an efficient management of various involved parties profiles, device setting, wireless updating, wireless health check and report generation. It also enables alarm reports including exact fault map locations to be viewed via Internet at anytime at anywhere.
The benefits illustrated here is the peace of mind to the town estate service providers for their significant improvement in response time to such pump faults and service quality standard. Additionally, it also provides tighter access control to the pump sites to avoid any illegal site usage or sabotage as well as to prevent false claim of service maintenance routines.
